I've been waiting for a good price of external HDDs for a while. Is $26/TB considered slick these days? Or should I keep waiting?

Fry's has similar or better "deals" every other week, nothing to see here.

Seeing it's newegg, it's probably sponsored post.

Yeah, decent deal, but the price of HD's have come down over the past few months. Not bad, though.

The huge benefit of this being portable cant be underestimated.

I bought a 5 Tb one but it needs external power and its kind of a hassle, unless one uses it in a dedicated spot.(its my fault to not research earlier)

So, this is a good deal.

Don't forget to take other factors into account when comparing deals from different merchants. For instance:

Newegg (via eBay) = no tax (outside CA I believe) + CB + eBay Bucks

Fry's = tax + no CB + no eBay Bucks

I wish I knew about these supposed Fry's deals because I'm actually in the reverse position on taxes.
