All of a sudden I'm having some Newegg rebates being denied for different reasons.

I do a lot of rebates and was just thinking yesterday that none of my rebates have been denied since I started doing them over about a year and a half ago.

Today I get a denial email from Asus (submitted rebate late May) so I look at the reason 'The maximum number of items or claims have been reached for this offer'. I wrote 4myrebates an email stating that I only ordered 1 item from rebate and don't understand why it was denied. I received a response from them stating that it will go before the escalation team and I should hear back in the next few days. There is no reason why that should have been denied.

That got me to check other older rebates not yet paid. I had 2 McAfee rebates that were denied (both submitted in April) yet I never received any type of correspondence from them notifying me of this. I just figured they are usually late sending out checks so didn't check up on them.

The reasoning for those being denied were:

Missing Purchase Location for one of the denied rebates and the other rebate was denied because:
Missing Purchase Date
Missing Purchase Location

I contacted the rebate company and they'll get back to me in 2 business days. Chat is unavailable but will try chat tomorrow or Monday to see if anyone working.

I don't understand why this is happening all of a sudden. I never had issues with NewEgg rebates in the past at all.

I did do a chat with Newegg and they will discuss with rebate company and get back to me.

The only thing I can think of is when looking at NewEgg invoices, there is no mention of the company, Newegg.com at all. No where is Newegg mentioned. Maybe they are getting stricter and wanting the company name on the invoice? This is what Newegg is looking into.

But why all of a sudden are they starting to deny for that reason? I had another that was denied last week for that reason, I believe, and called and they went ahead and approved it.

It's just added hassle. Hopefully these all work out and get approved also.

Anyone else having some issues with rebates being denied? I will start checking up on all outstanding rebates more often because evidently I don't get denial notifications all the time and I'm thinking everything is fine when its not.

Yes, you are right, there is none. No where is Newegg mentioned, except for the bottom of the Second page where it is, right after the policies discussion. Also, IE puts a nice notice at the top of the page with the title of the web site and on the bottom of the page with the URL, both of which refers to the NE. I usually circle them with a pen.

Thanks so much. I went back and looked at prior invoices and see Newegg up at tippy top...like a website, date, etc. For some reason that isn't printing for me anymore up at the top. Maybe that is the issue. But you would think they would recognize Newegg's invoices. I'll give them a call or chat tomorrow and see what they need from me. They should be open then but that has to be the issue as everything is as I've always done. I bet it's just who is looking at the rebates at the time. I bet some will let it slide and others are denying.

ETA: Chat was finally open today. They claim my invoice on each of the 2 denied claims, do not have Newegg.com on them and do not have the order date on them. In the past I have always printed the first page of the invoice and submitted with no issue of ever being denied. I've never sent in the second page of the invoice.

I reprinted the invoices but up at top Newegg.com was not showing...sometimes it does and sometimes not. I contacted Newegg and they sent me invoices for these 2 and each has order date with Newegg logo up at top so these should pass and be approved.

What is so strange is I always circle the item and order date on invoices. On each submitted invoice I circled the 'submit date'. Rebate company does not want the submit date but order date. It that crazy or what?! The submit date is the order date. What the heck. Why are they being extremely picky all of a sudden? That is so odd.

So basically I have to resubmit everything again and include Newegg order confirmation email. My goodness. Now, I've got to PDF and consolidate all the info w/each rebate.

Does everyone doing McAfee rebates always send in 2nd page of invoice?

ETA again. This was making no sense to me at all. They were putting me through hoops when they had what they needed so I did another chat and got the same guy. I asked him to please explain exactly what the issue was with my invoices because I have ALWAYS printed from the newegg.com website and never had any issues. I wanted to know what was wrong with the invoice this time so I knew what not to do next time I submitted an invoice.

He told me he'd look at it again and was away for like 5 minutes and then came back asking for the 2 tracking numbers again. He said he tried looking up and saw I had tons of rebates. I told him yes and that if he looked at each one he'd see how I sent in the same printed invoice from newegg website and all were approved. He again researched for a good bit of time and came back and said he now sees that the missing information is now there on the invoice and he went ahead and approved. That was crazy. I also had to explain to him that submit date is the same as the order date.

I'm thinking maybe they have someone new working at Parago that isn't used to the invoices so was looking for a newegg logo or name and address to be on the invoice. They may not have understood the difference between submit date and order date. Anyway thank goodness I didn't have to resubmit.

U can print out invoices with the newegg.com crappola on the page or basic view w the name, at the very bottom of the invoice. (Crapppla: the lrg. ad crap/pics that's seen in your email/print)

You should circle the date, invoice #, item, and your name/address, anyway. Tape down the UPC w a circle drawn around it plus the words UPC written beside it. Circling is the least u can do to avoid stuff like this. I try to direct the noobs right to my info. No need to search or decifer...

Seems like you were able to fix this...good luck in the future

Too funny! laugh out loud I got to thinking that maybe now they are getting summer help from kids out of school. They should spend a little more time training or before they deny, let one of the more senior employees double check.

I had 3 rebates denied and now the 1 Asus and 2 McAfees have been approved with nothing additional sent in. They had everything they needed in the first place. I would have been out 121.00 dollars if actually all 3 denied.

I just looked at my latest Asus invoice printed from my email. Right at the top, it does stay, "Thank you for shopping at newegg. This is the invoice and receipt for your recent order. Please keep a copy for your records." UGGH, new rebate processing hires can lead to frustration! I also, notice that I drew, four small arrows on each side,w UPC written beside each one. Lmao
I kindercare the processors, now!

Found out today that Parago messed me up on another rebate. I had purchased 4 Sonicare toothbrushes at Kohls. Each had a 20.00 rebate. I filed all 4 rebates on the same form. I was allowed up to 5 rebates but just purchased 4. I should have received 80.00 total for all 4 toothbrushes but was only sent 20.00.

I did a chat and their 'system' didn't pick up all 4 rebates....just the 1. I was told to wait 7-10 days while they review. I asked if they could expedite since it was their system issue and nothing I did in error. They said I just have to wait.

I always end up getting my rebates in the end, but you really have to stay on top of Parago and babysit the rebate during all the steps to make sure things progress as they should....lessons learned. Guess I should have circled all 4 UPCs in red and highlighted with a bright yellow marker. I had even circled the quantity on the invoice where it was showing 4 shipped.

(Yes, i do a pink, highlighter, on top of, my blk circle) Even, if you circled item and labeled #1, #2 & wrote UPC #1, #2, etc .,. under each. They would still screw it up but the fact is, you would've submitted the proof and keeping up on it, is sadly, a part of the game. The game does grow tedious. Fight 'em, like a champ!!! $80 is not throw-away-money!!!

Its funny, SD has allowed me to buy almost free, markers, pens, glue, tape, staple, envelopes, paper, ink, etc.,... that is used for rebates, mostly. I have a rebate station set -up in my office. Lmao

You crack me up. My case was escalated yesterday. I just contacted them again and they said again that my case has been escalated and to allow 7-10 days. I could have sworn the word 'escalated' meant to speed up the resolution of. I told the guy I would be contacting them every day until resolved. I'm just tired or the errors on their part which keeps slowing down the whole process. They don't seem to care.

I have my little rebate area too. I have my envelopes, stamps, paper clips, tape, printer and every thing else rebate related all organized on my desk. I can't say it always stays neat and tidy though.

I'm so not happy. Kohl's Parago rebate people screwed me out of 60.00 for some reason. They tell me I just have to wait it out 7-10 days while they stick it in someone's 'IN' box until they get time to look it over and figure out why.

They need to stop using the word 'escalate'.

I can't actually speak with anyone and only limited to chat. I asked for a number and nothing but recordings. I ask chat for another number and they give me Kohl's phone number. They can't help. All they do is tell me to call the rebate company which again is nothing but recordings and can't speak with a person and chat is worthless so I'm stuck to wait.

My issues is that I've already waited and rebate company overlooked my other 3 rebates that I should have been paid for (60.00 extra dollars). It was all on the SAME form. I would like to know why. If my error, then I don't mind waiting, but they messed up and this should be escalated and processed. It's crazy to have to wait for an answer as to why.errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
