ssd is not initializing

br1ckhouse 337 50 June 11, 2016 at 05:08 PM
the ssd on my laptop just crashed and won't boot. I connected it to my desktop but I can't get it to initialize from disk manager. Corsair has approved a RMA but I'd like to get some data off the drive if possible. I've read that I could try connecting it to a Linux machine, which I will do when I'm back at work.

Any other options I could try?

You could burn a Linux distro onto a disc and boot off of it from your desktop and try to access the data today vs at work. Search for data recovery versions. Lots to choose from.
