Lots of Canon Refurbished lenses are 15% off now at the official Canon store:
http://shop.usa.canon.com/shop/en...hed-lenses

Of course a lot of the most desirable ones are out of stock, but for example:
EF 100-400mm F4.5-5.6L IS II USM is $1459 and in stock at the moment:
http://shop.usa.canon.com/shop/en...efurbished
edit: the main page still says in stock but it says out of stock on the product page now.

Some of the cheap ones are available too, for example:

EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM for $203:
http://shop.usa.canon.com/shop/en...efurbished

etc...
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Got some refurbished lens on a previous deal from canon and that's the only way I'll buy lens now. Could never tell a difference if you didn't know already! Look and perform as brand new.

I've been eyeing the 50mm 1.8, but it's not any cheaper than it was when I checked last week.

It's a $89 lens. How much more are you thinking?

Are refurbs direct from Canon shipped in plain boxes or in the usual retail boxes?

I have been eyeing the 17-55 f2.8 for months now. Each time it is on sale, I always miss out (out of stock). Managed to snag one this time. Also snagged my first L lens. It is quite weird since I purchased the same L lens 2 days ago. Now I just have to cancel that order and save myself $200.

Got notified via CPW. I am sure this sale won't last as Canon only puts 10 or so stock of the good lens on sale.

Anyone know of coupon for expedite shipping? The BESTMOM or ALL4YOU promo from mothers day didn't work. I wonder if there's a BESTDAD one lol

Canon brown box. The box will say Canon on it.

I got the 15-85mm lens on a big sale a while back, mainly because the 17-55mm was out of stock at that time. I have done extensive research since then and even purchased the 17-55mm one at a subsequent sale. Even though I didn't shoot them side-by-side, I decided to keep the 15-85mm one. Unless you truly need the constant f/2.8 aperture, the 15-85mm lens is more versatile and sharper.

There is nothing wrong with the 17-55mm lens, but I think it starts showing its age in terms of features and image quality. Take a look at the 18-135mm STM lens, for example: You will see that it is even sharper (or just as sharp) on the wide end at it's lower apertures as the 17-55mm lens.

Obviously, the 18-135mm STM lens wasn't around until a couple of years ago when most of the 17-55mm reviews were written. That's why it may not seem like it might actually be able to compete. And I think Sigma and Tamron have been improving their lenses as well.

The 10-18 is worth picking up at this price if you don't have an ultra-wide for your APS-C and you don't plan on using it for star photos.

Totally agree with title and most of not seen on sale, still remain OOS, as usual. Yet good opportunity to harvest some entry level or mid level nice lenses. Many prices I see, thought not crossing the line, are close to rock bottom levels.
