Folks,
The Logitech Circle Smart Home Security Camera is available for $149.99 with free shipping. This is $50 off the regular price and the promotion runs till Jun 19th (Fathers day).

Valid on logitech, amazon and best buy
Logitech:
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/circle

Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-C...entries*=0

Best Buy
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/logit...Id=4500400

some notes:
I bought both this and the arlo Q for trial and I can positively say this is a better security camera at a better price. Compared with the Arlo, the logitech has:
- Better app
- Better clarity camera
- smaller form factor
- has a rechargeble batter plus can be "always on" by plugging in the cable

Cons
- Free storage is for only 24 hours (more plans are incoming) v/s 7 days for Arlo

Comparison between the Logitech Circle and Netgear Arlo "Q" (important:
1) The phone app is much better. The interface is much intuitive and clean
2) The camera quality is much better. The resolution is 1080 p in both but the logitech optics are much better. They look much cleaner on the screen.
3) Form factor: Smaller form factor.
4) Price: Right now its $150 which even after newegg's discount is $20 cheap.
5) Other features: Like some users are saying, they don't want to see a whole 24 hour recording. The app has a very nifty feature- a 24 hour time lapse video called "day brief" which presents a summary of your whole days events in a couple of mins video.
6) Circle has a rechargeable battery and hence does not need continuous power. It is also portable for the same reason.

con: only 1 day recording vs 7 days of arlo.

Yes it is. I have both right now and testing them out. I have found the Logitech to be much better than the arlo. Have mentioned a brief comparison above.

What do you find better about it? is it worth switching? I have the arlo outdoor cameras and really like them...and got this to compliment as an indoor camera... do you think it is worth switching? how is the cloud storage? is the video quality higher than 1080p on this one or just better optics for better recorded video? Just want to compare just in case I need to switch to a different system for indoor recording.

dont be fooled by arlo Q 7 days free cloud, only motion trigged clips, not continuously.

Thats all you need...why waste time with constant recording...i dont have time to watch it later...their software makes it so easy to setup rules, integrate with philips Hue and other IFTTT, and the motion recording is great...includes trigger by sound or motion, awesome!

This is a plus for me, I hate to go through 24 hours of nothing... at least in the house... if youre trying to monitor a public area 24/7 you should be getting more professional grade stuff with DVR not arlo q or this logi...

Built in battery sounds cool. Means it can be moved, but should also work in power outage (assuming you have your AP and modem backed up with a UPS...such as the one on today's FP).

Arlo batteries last months while this wont make it more than half a day. I'm buying cameras and plan to go with Arlo I think because of flexibility is being able to move them anywhere I want. THis looks like a nice camera, but doesn't meet my needs.

I bought an Arlo system a few weeks ago. My advice is to get NiteCore NL166 rechargeable batteries and pair them with a NiteCore 2015 D4 charger. Not the easiest to find, just make sure you get legitimate items.
