Great deal, OP. FP worthy.

Buyers should be aware that the new (2016) Moto G has more features that overlap the 2015 Moto X. I don't think the 2016 G is generally available yet.

Also there is a Moto Z announced last week (but it appears to be Verizon exclusive for now).

This is the best deal in a while on the Moto X.

(I haven't been tracking non-Motorola phones as I really like the Moto Assist features; I'll let others comment on how this stacks up to other Android deals.)

Before people buy this phone I wanted to let them know about a software bug with Marshmallow where call quality over VoLTE, especially on T-Mobile, intermittently creates a lot of static. The person on the other end doesn't hear the static. However, from your end the call can become almost unintelligible. This is a problem that apparently doesn't effect everyone and is usually intermittent on people that it does effect.

If you go to the Motorola forums there is a 20 page thread about this problem https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Moto...-p/3239629. If I had known about this issue I probably wouldn't have bought this phone. The worse thing about the situation has been Motorola's response to the problem. They say that the issue won't be fixed until the phone gets an update to Android N which if that even happens could be a year from now. They have also offered to exchange the phone for a Nexus 6 which is a generation older phone than the Pure.

I wanna say the G4 went as low $250 w/ a bag full of goodies too...

S6 (edge I think) brand new was going for $200 at best buy for a few hours before selling out.

We are about to have a glut of amazing phones that now the "old" models flooding the market.

I'm talking Nexus 6P, S6 line, Moto X, G4, Note 4 & 5, Droid Turbo 2, etc... It's gonna be a great time to be a phone consumer...

Excellent deal but look for this to drop further since the announcement of the Moto Z

How much more could it go down? Using the LG G4 as a baseline, even with the G5 release, the last gen (G4) still hovers around $300 new.

G4 started at about $600 though, Moto X 2015 started at $400

I have noticed this too. They started to discount early so the prices never really rock bottom as it used to few years ago. Maybe $250 is the best we gonna see for 16gb for this phone. They not gonna lose money to build more of X.

Definitely X. X is on par or at least compete with 6p. 5x is one step down from 6p.
