SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO USB 3.0 Flash Drive @ Amazon [amazon.com]
$56.23 w/ free shipping

Also, at B&H Photo Video [bhphotovideo.com] w/ free shipping.

YMMV option:
If Amazon offers PrimeNow service (via phone app) to your zip code - check here [amazon.com],
AND if they have it available near you, then you can get an additional $20 off as a first-time PrimeNow user:
  • Use code GETITNOW (or TRYITNOW or 20PRIMENOW) at checkout.
  • $36.23 ymmv

Lowest price ever per CCC, just dropped another $4.

Sandisk Extreme (non-pro) and other brands have great read speeds like this, but no where close to the write speeds. It's basically an SSD in flash drive form. Cool
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Two Amazon user benchmarks:

One supporting [amazon.com] the 260MB/s read and 240MB/s write.
Another supporting [amazon.com] up to 200MB/s write, which drew a reply from Sandisk, lol.

Impressive customer reviews nonetheless.

The 128gb usb 3.0 lexar jumpdrive was $19.99 just yesterday. Is this one worth the huge price difference?

Up to you. That Lexar is only 60MB/s write speed, this is 240MB/s write speed. This is a performance drive, which is particularly useful if you're transferring up to 128GB. nod

Really apples and oranges between the two. It's like comparing a spinning disk drive (much cheaper per TB) vs an SSD drive on an SSD deal post.

No harms in asking questions. My purchases are mostly governed by pricing, especially with tech because these things get obsolete faster than others. So I always try to justify the extra costs ?. I am sure there would be others with the same question. So your response will help them as well. Thanks ...

No it's not, those PNY drives that everyone seems to hate can be had for close to this price and double the storage. I have been using a couple of 256GB drives and they have great write speeds (130 MB/s or more)

I only see the PNY Turbo [amazon.com] 256GB with 80MB/s write? Honest question.

Amazon information is usually cryptic and confusing by design, I have couple of these and I constantly get that speed when I am copying movie files ~2gb.

I see it, and the user benchmark looks invalid. Wirecutter shows dismal results [thewirecutter.com] for the PNY Turbo, which is currently $90 on Amazon. It went as low as $40 on a slickdeal where Amazon review benchmarks don't show more than 100MB/s writes.

A benchmark test will give a varied result depending on sequential, random access, burst, and/or sustained.

That Turbo drive costs more for 1/3 (or at best 1/2) the write speed. I don't understand your point still, then. It's not the same class of drive, and it costs more. But to each their own I suppose.

you're talking about transferring large files. Try copying 10,000 tiny files and see how the PNY does. This is basically ssd on a stick.

It's still ok. anyway, if you want SSD usb 3.0 drive, just get an actual msata ssd and eclosure, it will still be cheaper (and faster) than this.

This drive has a solid state drive controller in it. I am able to run Windows 10 directly off the flash drive.

nice, never saw a 128gb >220 speed read with fast write flash under $60 shipped before, but tax kills the deal, sorry.
be advised that B&H is closed Monday.
