Thread Details

Never signed up for either. Looked on Google, here & elsewhere. Hopefully I won't be using these much. I have some nonDriver register/signup questions. All I found on my own were rates, levels of service & useless Driver registration tips. I would very much appreciate the help.

Which requires the least information, smoothest on an Android & or is easiest to signup for? I won't give up my ss#. And not my bday if possible. In reading both take Paypal. Do either accept prepaid cc? Is it true neither will tell you what'll it cost before the ride? Also rates go up & down according to demand. Will I have foreknowledge of the adjusted rates? And anything else I should know? Like signup bonuses or coupons.

They're almost identical. Just need name, phone number, and credit card. Prepaid CC should work fine. There's a fare estimator, just make sure to request your ride before you estimate your fare. Sign up bonuses are usually $15-20 on uber, and $5 or $10 per ride, up to $50 off with Lyft.

I used both for my vegas trip using this guide, should help a little bit. Highly recommend using ride share though.

TY. Haven't jumped yet. But so far I like Lyft Line because it'll tell the price before the ride.

Edit: Why the thumbs down? I'm admitting my ignorance & asking for help. What not PC anymore to ask for help?

Can anybody use their words & state why the TD?

They both have fare estimators to give you price before you go. They're both very similar and just as good, I just use whatever's cheaper.
