Speaking of sound bars. I know 2.0 low-power ones are not of most interest, but I picked up the Walmart item 38763671 VIZIO 2.0 Sound Stand one to go with my $260 Walmart LG 55" TV. And I'm really happy for a small tile-floor studio apartment Wink I had a 50 foot optical cable from monoprice in my collection and this thing has really made my big TV a joy. I can move the speakers right where I want in the room and with optical cable there is no interference.

$30 - 38763671 - I just returned from a store that had 3 of them sitting there with no indication of that bargain price. It isn't "high end" on specs, but it works great. AND it has Bluetooth - so you can use it just as a way to play sound from your mobile phone or PC / etc. It makes a decent 2.0 PC speaker system even. I think the bass is perfectly fine, and as one of the Amazon reviews said - I don't need bass that shakes the room. I watched Interstellar Blu-ray today on it - and it sounds awesome! The rocket launch is way too loud (as it should be)!

It's designed to be strong enough to hold a 55" TV - 50 pounds - but it actually is not heavy. Must use aluminum inside. Again, it is low end - but for $30 it is actually pretty great sounding with optical input / digital coax input / Bluetooth. You could even set your laptop on top of it! It works great with my Nexus 6 in playing music - and the remote does properly work for pause/next-track, etc.

Anywhere, there you go.

Also - Walmart has some RCA systems on clearance. Including a $74 Blu-ray player 37402749 with speakers/amp/etc and also a 1000W system that has Bluetooth.

I have not hooked it up yet so I can't say from audio quality perspective. The few reviews are quite positive at it's original price of $400 so at $109 it SHOULD be a steal.

The guy rates mid-range.

Anyone know how these compare to the HW-J450? I was looking to add two additional speakers (SWA-8000S/ZA) for a 4.1 channel experience. Not sure if that's how this works. However this would be a cheaper option.

Of all the Walmart stores in my area, brickseek showed only one in stock at one store for $109. All the others were out of stock. Sure enough, there was only one left on the floor but it was still marked at full price. I dragged it up to the register and it scanned at $109! Thank you cheapnchong! Repped!

Only one store in my area has "limited stock" is this any good for the price and is it worth my driving 30 minutes for?

They had this too for $55. But I opted for j6000 for two reasons, 6.1 surrounding and input options . This one does not have optical input. For some that's not a deal breaker but for me it was. Also this is still $228 atost stores.

I wouldn't. Just think of the bets - if all stores are out, it's more than likely something they can't account for.

Or maybe single unit that their manager stashed beforehand to wait for the final price drop. I know for fact that one of the electronics dept managers in my local store frequents SD and FW forums. Then he either calls his relatives to come and buy all these items or stashes them where nobody would look until the last markdown hits, then buys in the end of his shift.
