I m not saying I can find cheaper or this is not a better deal. just pointing out that it's 60 Hz, that's all

I've been shopping for a deal on a 65-70" TV in this price range for several months. My situation is somewhat unique as it's primarily for living room PC gaming, so I'll often be running at 1080p since 4k gaming is far from practical. This deal is tempting and maybe one of the better deals as of late, especially since I don't particularly need native 120Hz, but I'm still not going to pull the trigger on this.

First of all, since it hasn't been cleared up in this thread (seems like just guesses so far) this is absolutely a 60 Hz panel. Samsung's "Motion Rate" for 4K TV's doubles the actual number and refers to their software optimization, which I can't really vouch for or against... Maybe it works great, but don't expect true 120 Hz which I believe requires a step up to the 7000 series.

Anyway, compared to similarly priced 65" 4k TVs, I can't help but compare this to the Sony XBR-65X810C which was available for $1200 not long ago. And that was with no tax for most, vs. tax for basically everyone at Walmart, making it only ~$120 more for a far superior TV. Obviously that Sony deal is not available currently, but it wasn't an instant sell out/miracle deal either. I pondered it for almost a day before it expired. It's happened before and it'll likely be back. This is just a bottom tier TV from a top brand at a reasonable price.

Oh and the "MSRP $2599" in the title is a load of crap and deserving of a thumbs down.
Keep waiting

I've been looking too. I think I might get the UN65KU6300 for $1450 how does this one compare? $450 worth?

Edit: oh 60hz

I have to say though I have a 46" Sony with 60hz and don't notice it.

She works for Wal-Mart. Sorry I can't give it out or she would probably lose her job. But this is still a great deal even without the 10%.
