My local Home Depot still has the Dremel 4200-4/36 for $60 (B&M only, YMMV).

had this 4+yrs never given me any issues. I've used it for pc case mods, engraving glass, even carved pumpkins. I've taken it apart once to lube and clean but that was a personal choice not required. May grab another since I paid 100+ last time.

Which is better? You get more attachments with the 4200 kit but I've read some bad reviews about the ez lock system on the 4200.

I'll let you know after I've burned it in more, but so far the EZ Lock seems to be pretty solid.

I'd say that depends greatly on your dog. I'm betting that neither of mine would allow it.

I'd say so. I bought my first one 18 years ago and I usually have to break it out at least once a month for something.

Maybe try eBay. They sold the Dremel 400 with a really nice case a few years back (screenshot below) and I know I spent several months looking for one without the tool with no luck.

Same with Walmart... I know, because I just priced all of the models they carry last week. :-)

Edit: Sorry, just checked my notes. It's the 4000 that Walmart has, and it's $78.
