Thread Details

So the fam is looking to travel from the Tampa Bay area to the University of Louisville via I75 in our minivan. Does anyone have any suggestions on what is worth wile making the detour to see? We are leaving on a Sat morning and need to be at the University by 4PM on Sunday. We have a 5yo girl and 8yo boy coming with. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We like the outdoors and Ruby falls is on the short list.

While I dont disagree with you I was hoping for ideas closer to I75. Charleston is def on a short list of places to see, but we cant swing it this trip.

There is Atlanta: coke museum, MLK museum Olympic Park and aquarium all pretty cool. Nothing much after that until you pass gatlinburg area, I would pass this but there are some fun things there for kids, (ober gatlinberg, Dollywood), there are also few short hikes in the smokies ok with kids near Gatlinburg.
In Kentucky there is Bourbon Distillery tours. Woodford Reserve is decent and probably fine with kids but maybe boring for them. There are horse farm tours if you look them up in Lexington. Louisville has a decent Zoo.
