Hey everyone,

I am a huge foodie and looking to take a vacation this fall. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where in the world has the best food to offer? The classic answer is always Italy but I have been hearing a lot about the food in Singapore. What do you think?

Doesn't what type of food you prefer have at least a tiny bit to do with it?

As someone who has been to Singapore I don't particularly remember the food apart from the chili crab isn't really all that.

Los Angeles, because you can have food from around the world. I had Burmese and Cuban and amazing pastrami all within a small area

I've had $1500 per person dinners at Alaine Ducasse in Paris, but I can confidently say Japan (including Tokyo for high end, Kobe for beef, and Osaka for street food) or Turkey are the best I've had.

my family's all time favorite is Cantonese cuisine in HongKong. The restaurant we go to is L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon, we try to forget about dieting when we're in HK and Shanghai.

Yes I agree with @mamabear209, as a huge foodie, you should try some authentic Chinese food. Bon AppetiteSmilie

I would imagine SF would be a very good place, a lot of variety. But if you're looking for a specific food, that would be helpful as well.

OP, might be more helpful to narrow the scope some. If you list 4-5 different places you're considering, those who have experience can give you more specifics to help you narrow it down.

I have never traveled anywhere where the food discoveries have not been numerous, new to my taste buds and outright fun. In last 12 months, Hungary, Finland, Nashville TN and South Korea have all been a blast!

I would suggest SURAT city in GUJARAT state in INDIA. You will find world cuisine like brownie sizzler, fancy dosas, frankies, more than 150-200 flavors of ice cream like jalapeno , ginger or other wierd flavors.

there is a saying "Death at Kashi ghat and food at Surat"

Singapore? I don't think so. There are three series food in the world. French food, Chinese food and Turkish cuisine. French food and Turkish cuisine you might try it before. I think you should try Chinese food. It will amazing you guys.
