Kaspersky Anti-Virus is a PC Magazine Editor's Choice: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2...689,00.asp

Kaspersky has different "levels" of protection software. I tend to run their Internet Security Protection package, but the primary features I use are in the Anti-Virus package. Compare here: http://www.kaspersky.com/compare

Also, you can buy this software and activate it whenever you need it. Simply create an account at center.kaspersky.com. Within your account you can "load" the activation code from the product you buy. You can then view all of your products that are available to activate, and separately see all of the devices that you are using the product on. Personally, I try to get the 5-Device Internet Security package when it comes up and keep a few of those in my account for future use, but I believe I also have a few 3-device Anti-Virus activation codes in my account in case I need them.

Key Cards are a very common way of getting software. Have you been living in a cave? That being said only buy from reputable retailers not off some guy on Craigslist.

This looks like a Newegg rebate and not a Kaspersky rebate. Any idea if this is a pre-paid card or a check for the rebate?

I bought this a couple weeks ago when it was a $35.00 rebate. I was already using Kaspersky, but it was set to expire in a few weeks. I received a plastic DVD type case with a card with a code in it. I entered the code into my Kaspersky account, and it kicked in once the previous one expired. They have received the rebate, but it is still processing
