No, the 1311 uses junk TLC memory. I have the 1211 and it uses Micron MLC memory. You can argue that the controller is slightly better in the 1311 but that does not make up for garbage TLC memory.

Thanks for the info. I thought newer = better. I just bought 120gb 1311 at microcenter for ~$37 for an older notebook. Shouldn't be a problem, not for my main pc.

I completely forgot about power consumption when i bought it but then realized it's no longer important. Notebook is plugged in all the time, battery doesn't hold charge anymore. I looked at comparison chart on amazon and 1311 looked better than similar adata and ocz.

The 750 was Samsung's low-end device sold in Asia, but now they want to sell it here and charge Americans more. Samsung uses old ram (2d ram used on the 840) with a new controller to try and avoid the 840's problems.

It has reasonable performance, but an inferior warranty compared to the 850 and definitely not worth a premium IMO. Send Samsung a message telling them you don't want their cast offs, and save your money for an 850, Sandisk, or better yet, get a better deal from another company.
