Tool nuts like myself will always tell you "This is a POS, why would you get this and blah blah blah..."

Truth is, this is a great tool kit to carry in a car trunk, or if you live in an apartment or small house with no garage and want a tool set which includes most commonly needed tools this would be it, seriously. Add a cordless drill into the mix and you have something that will cover 90% of your needs.

Will you build decks or rebuild engines with this set? No. But can you hang pictures, assemble furniture & take care of most your household needs with something like this? Yes...

I got 4 of them for $53. shipped. Got the 10% off for $50 in tools and 5% off $45 with code 9818801837053498. I think they will be good Xmas party gifts at $13+ apiece plus cash back from my favorite CB site. Same thing is $25.99 on Amazon. https://smile.amazon.com/Stanley-...c+tool+set

Seems ok for a cheapo kit, bags are problably better than molded cases so that replacements, upgrades, and additional tools actually fit. The bag by itself is probably at least $4 retail, and the main tools are at least $1 each if comparing to dollar store comparables (which may be crappier than these anyway).

This kit doesn’t seem all that great. It’s more of a 10 piece tool set with a bunch of allen and screwdriver bits.

If you’re going this cheap- all of these things are free with coupon at Harbor Freight with the exception of a hammer – usually those don’t go below $2. The catch is it’s over each visit – like one coupon would be a free screwdriver set, the next being a tape measure, etc. Most stores won’t let you just bring in 5 coupons and walk out with a free tool set.

I have had one for 4 years and I go into this toolbox at least twice a week, even if it is just for the tape measure.

There is another 14.99 tool kit that has 79 pieces, http://www.kmart.com/master-forge...916125000P. Isn't this one better?

Hmmm... Not the greatest tools. this would be ideal for the Ikea furnished apartment dweller type.

Having one good tool is sometimes better than having a bunch of toy tools. Get this for a college student moving in to their first apartment this coming fall, get Dad a decent tool.

For instance, I noticed my father's soldering iron was about 40 years old and takes almost that long to get up to temp. Spent $20 on Amazon and maybe now he can possibly solder a few more times in his lifetime and not go senile while waiting for his iron to heat up.
