whats the price for asus?
I bought the 8GB surface pro 4 for $1025 after posting this thread chatting with an agent.
Used 5% cashback site + 5% chase + 5% staples rewards (YMMV)
Applied partially $500 in staples GC bought using 15-20% discount.

Also 740 is not a great price for pro4. U can always do that with student coupon and price match.

The issue I have with surface is

I dont want to carry custom big charger.
Need usb3 port and usb charging
Bigger screen is better. 12.6 is right

When and how much? I just got an SP4 but I'd gladly return for something like that.

Wow, they really ripped off Microsoft. I guess the ASUS designers ran out of original ideas.

Dude Microsoft went on to build surface as a way for OEMs to copy and popularize tablets for Windows...

So who cares as long as its as good as surface in quality

I was able to Price Match microcenter price $1049.99 @ Best Buy, then used the $100 off coupon for the Core i5/ 8GB RAM / 256GB today.

So total came out $949.99 + tax

If you don't mind me asking, where did you find the $100 off coupon? I looked at my student coupon but that expired on 6/11.

Got it from here on one of these Surface Pro 4 thread.

The coupon said "OFFER VALID 5/29/16–7/9/16. SINGLE USE: ONE TIME ONLY."

I think this is it? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/globa...6200050000

I was just at Best Buy trying to do what you did. They price matched but wouldn't allow me to the $100 off coupon with a price matched item. They even tried scanning the coupon but the price didn't change. Did you do anything special? Any tips?
