Okay, I admit watches are just jewelry now, but come on...to still call them a diving watch? What diver lives without a computer these days?

Might as well carry a pocketwatch if you want anachronistic jewelry. Wink

There's a chase Uber deal somewhere on the treads. That should get him at least one way. Considering his apparent skill level, he may only need transportation for one direction...

"Hello Apple, I would like to return my Mac and iwatch. You see, both broke when I went deep sea diving and took them down 20 meters."

"What?! Are you telling me that neither device is built for deep sea diving? Who knew? Some person on SD suggested all divers take their computers diving. So I would not actually need something as antiquated as a dive watch."

Um, I'm talking about a DIVE computer. You know, the thing that logs your nitrogen uptake based on time and depth?

Maybe you don't...

But yes, I agree anyone silly enough to own Apple products would probably do that. Smilie

My only point is that there is still use for a dive watch, which is really a watch that can handle being submersed in salt water. The rest was just to entertain. No matter where I go, with or without a phone or computer, I like to have a wrist watch, for the practical and impractical reasons. I know a guy who prefers pocket watches. I tell him he should just tether his iphone to a chain (not really). Your post sounded a bit too much like the usual TC about "why get an expensive watch when you have a phone...blah blah blah." Anyway, well said on your retort.
