I have paid more for ferragamo slip on shoes back in the day. Now that the shoes are all worn and beat up, i reckon I should of bought watches vs shoes, oh well.

In hindsight you probably should of bought sneakers... Some vintage kicks are worth a lot of money.

Shoes are made to be worn and seen, not hide somewhere in the closet, so good for you! And you looked damn good in the process Thumbup

One of the best deals I've ever scored was a pair of Ferragamo slip ons from Last Chance for $20 Bigeye And I wore the snot out of those things!

just paying for the name. they don't make watches, someone else makes there watches and puts there name on it. if you want a great watch at a great price, look into the seiko skx. it is in every watch collectors collection.

Correct, and intense is probably a good word. The truly hardcore show up before opening on Tuesdays (the day their new shipments come in, or at least used to) and bum rush the instant the doors open. To be honest, a lot of the men's shoes are returns and therefore used, and their condition is often appalling. My own Ferragamo find was over 15 years ago and I haven't come anywhere close to the same level of success (both price and condition) since.

There are still deals to be found, but it takes effort. My sis consistently has good results with women's shoes, and our Petunia Picklebottom diaper bag was a good find.
