I own one with a core i5 and 128gb ssd. The tablet has spent more time as a paper weight than as a tablet.

I will say that there are drivers out now that fix a lot of the issues, the most annoying of which was the battery completely draining while the tablet is in Sleep mode. So for the price its not a total nightmare.

Mine failed to boot in 30 days of owning it. Dell fixed it under warranty. The tablet again does not boot but im out of warranty so I have a nice paper weight again.

I had a Dell 5130 Venue Pro (the older 32 bit atom version) and recently picked up the 7140 (newer 64 bit Core M version) and have to say that Dell seems to have really nailed the process down of having weird niggling issues in their tablets with this line.

I forget exactly what was wrong with the atom version but there were definitely driver issues that caused weird problems and eventually the sleep wasn't very good with the battery so I ended up just making it hibernate all the time.

Once I came to grips with that it was an excellent Atom solution that lasted over 10 hours with the extra battery keyboard, played some simple games and was great to work on the IPS 1080p screen.

I actually got 2 7140s, one with slightly faster processor and that one I think just was broken (refurb) as it would develop an IMEI error after several hours of being powered on and from that point forward would never shut down properly (just hang at a black screen and mangle the battery until you hard power down) and both of them still don't sleep well when attached to the battery keyboard, often draining the battery several percent in an hour and once killing off half the combined battery power in a 9 hour sleep session (that should have dozed to hibernate but I guess didn't).

They are great hardware performance wise, the screen is great, the stylus is pretty good and the travel keyboard with battery is really nice to type on.

That said these weird little issues really are annoying because it's mars an otherwise excellent experience.

That said for the price if you are ok with an Atom processor and 1200x800 resolution (I need 1080p) I think this is a solid price for a Windows tablet of this size.
