Seems like a good deal with good reviews. Anyone else have this already and can chime in with their thoughts on it?

Got one for $30 during holiday sales. Lid constantly comes off when you try to pick it up. The latches don't secure the lid properly. Hose is ridiculously short. I don't know about you guys but these cheap shopvacs from Lowes and Home Depot with the 1-1/4" hoses pale in comparison to their old blue/gray colored shopvacs from a few years ago. The old ones had 2-1/2" hoses and could suck up anything in their path wet or dry. They also were priced the same.

I'd pass on this even with using an additional coupon. This one is good for dust and if you try to suck up anything larger, you'll be cleaning out the hose every 5 seconds. The short hose length means you'll be dragging the unit around with you with the latches coming loose on the lid and everything falling over. It's all too frustrating.

Home Depot does sells the same light duty garbage, don't expect anything different there unless you spend big bucks.

I still use my 2 old blue/gray lowes shopvacs from 5+ years ago. I let the wife use this for her light duty stuff....it isn't allowed in my garage.

I bought this last year during the black Friday sale for $39.00, it's well worth the money at that price.

It's a great Vacuum, but i suggest anyone buying it to purchase the larger 2.5" Dia. Hose, the 1.25 get's clogged on me all the time and is very frustrating.

I would agree there.

Bought one of these on Black Friday a couple of years ago. A week or so later, Sears had their Craftsman XSP-12 on sale for around $10 more. After checking out the XSP-12, I bought it and returned the one from Lowes. The XSP-12 has a very long power cord, a decently long hose, and storage spaces for everything, including brackets that hold the coiled hose in place on top of the vac. I like it much better than the Shop Vac model.

This is the one I ended up buying, but the good price doesn't come around too often: http://www.sears.com/craftsman-xs...ockType=G1 Frown

Does this come with a filter or any collection bags?

Good question. The photo does show a filter bag and foam sleeve but under the image it states, "In-use/lifestyle image - accessories not included". Then in the item description, it just says "Uses 10-14-gal collection bags, large cartridge filter and large foam sleeve" but doesn't say specifically if they are included. Confusing.

It doesn't come with a foam filter, everything else shown is included.

For $10 more that does look like a better choice, 2 1/2 hose would be a good upgrade.

I'd also agree the 1.5" hose is worthless.

Lowes rolled out new website updates recently and things seem to be bothersome. Price shows as $99 but the home page lists this as $49. Also, try using any browser other than IE to add anything to shopping cart.

Yeah I don't care for the website change.
