Oculus has been up to some shady business practices since the Facebook buyout.

I for one will not be supporting the Rift after Facebook has decided to try to force game devs to make their games rift exclusive. For the small and upcoming community that VR is in, it could have a very adverse effect on where VR goes in the future.

I lost all interest in Oculus after the Facebook buyout. The DRM, spyware, going back on promises theyve made and shady exclusive deals theyre making dont help their case either.

Also like this quote from the bottom of the Ars article(Ars Technica remembers):

Quote :
Luckey didn't want to bundle "controllers [people] might not even be interested in."
And yet they bundled it with two controllers people might not even be interested in.

Funny I don't get worked up about DRM or benign spyware. I just have fun playing games and watch movies I like. To think back in the 80s and early 90s many games come with draconian copy protections including physical code wheels. Kids these days only whine and complain and are especially good at being offended. Me? I'll be upgrading my PC with the new i7 and 1080 later on this year then getting an Oculus. I don't need a demo either. I mean why? The thought of putting a demo oculus unit on my face that has touched God knows how many other strangers sickens me.

only good thing about the Rift is it is an instant money maker. It still sells for upwards of 800 on Ebay or Craigslist.

Have fun buying multiple VR sets. We don't need a VR war like the console war.

Ironic your name is snowcrash with that bullshit Stephenson pulled with his video game.
