Amazon has the Frigidaire FFAD7033R1 back in stock for $218

The Frigidaire FFAD7033R1 Energy Star 70-pint Dehumidifier protects your home from mold and mildew caused by excess moisture. It also helps eliminate bacteria in the air that can make breathing difficult. Frigidaire's 70 pints-per-day dehumidifier is capable of continuous operation when the unit is located near a suitable drain. Ready-Select electronic controls include a digital humidity readout, 24-hour on/off timer and control lock. Effortless Humidity Control allows you to control the exact percentage of humidity in your room. The Space Wise portable design includes a top handle, integrated side handles and caster wheels making it easy to move your unit from room to room. Plus, you'll save money with its Energy Star efficiency.

Anyone know how good the squaretrade warranty is for dehumidifiers? Also, how can I get a longer warranty? 4 yrs or more, at ~$10/yr would be great. Walmart has a $26 4yr warranty which is really well priced and I don't have to deal with shipping since there are Walmarts everywhere.

FYI for anyone new to the dehumidifier game: this is the consensus best 70pt dehumidifier on the market in all criteria. 70pt is also considered a sweet spot for cost/performance for home dehumidifiers. You'll end up paying a lot more for a 90pt, but the performance delta is marginal. And any time you buy a dehumidifier, you also want to buy a local warranty. Even SquareTrade's free shipping on repairs is iffy. This dehumidifier is 50lb shipped... If you can get a really good deal (this one is good but not quite there for me), then you're probably ok with dealing with it. I'd rather pay $10/yr for a local warranty. Sears sucks, but they are ubiquitous and apparently better at these kinds of hardware repairs than Walmart.

warranties for dehumidifers that run 24/7 is a good idea, they almost always crap out at 2 yrs.

Do you need a condensation pump for this?

Just not crazy about some features of the new design (versus last year's model). Latest model changes (this one):

1) Air intake is from the back instead of front.
2) Air output is from the side instead of the top.
3) Internal bucket is slightly smaller.
4) Using a drainage hose requires attaching an included drainage adapter.
5) Hose drainage connection is from the side rather than the back of the unit.

Otherwise the best brand out there.
