Maybe a previous promotion or coupon. The best price I am seeing right now is around $23.

Interesting product, but...

I use a capo almost every day. I've used the same one since the early 90s-- probably 93 or 94.

It has been dropped countless times. Since it hangs off the instrument, it has been hit countless times. It is still in perfect condition.

I highly doubt this little electronic device will still be functional after 20+ years of use and abuse.

Plus, it takes button-cell batteries, which are often expensive and/or difficult to find.

If you are a new player, buy a quality traditional capo. If you need a tuner, buy it separately. Or, use an app, like Pitchlab (excellent, btw).

I bought 2 of these last time it was on sale. $8 or $10 I forget. Anyway, they suck, don't waste your time or money. First one turned on and lasted about 10 minutes. Even with new battery it was still dead. Second one won't even turn on. Junk.

I have never used one, but the reviews are good overall with a few really bad ratings mixed in with a lot of great ratings. Either people love them or hate them, according to the Amazon and MF reviews.

bought one on sale last time. The only down side is that the battery dies very quickly.
