good deal if you don't mind rebates. I'm thinking I will hold out for a DR-70

I have a DR-70D, its better, but not sure its $75 better. Some people like the direct control of the 60, but most other things are better on the 70. This looks like a great price for this to me. Not sure you can get into 4 channel recording for less.

for this to be effective, you'd need a dslr + a zoom lens too Smilie Wink2

Creepy, bro... you might have better luck just sticking your ear up to the window.

Great deal though! I'd be getting one, but am on a major timeout from buying more stuff (damn slickdeals)

Dammit. Just bought this for 139.00 after rebate last week from Adorama. Will Adorama price adjust?

If you only need two channels this works great. nice audio fit the price and mounts perfect under your dslr.

remember that the downside of this is battery. It eats them.

if you only need 2 channels and want to record long interviews, go for a $40~60 field recorder. you will miss some features like using the extra 2ch you don't need to record a lower pass version (in case someone starts talking too close to their mic) and the good pre amp, but you will record 20h more with less weight on simple AA batteries.

Will this record the audio directly to the camera's SD card? or does it have to use a separate one?
