because cooking by temperature is better than cooking by time. I use a maverick 732, and 733 but it's the same concept. These things work great when cooking large pieces of meat.

Why pay triple the price for Bluetooth and an app? Just get a normal one with digital display for 20 bucks. Bluetooth isn't even a huge range so you can't walk far away anyway.

150ft is pretty far. and every time you open that grill/smoker to check temps, you're letting heat out.
