Thread Details

Mass Saves posted on their Facebook page that Cree LED bulbs are available at this price until July 7th or while supplies last. I was able to get 8 soft white 60's. They still had stock of 40w and daylight bulbs at the HD I visited.

The prices are NOT showing on HD's web site, but shelf tags in store have the lower prices. As far as I can tell this is for Massachusetts stores only.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Wish I lived in MA. Instead, I sit on my back porch and look across the border with deep longing in my heart.

That's MA...the place where the first shots were fired in the birth of the republic, and ironically, the same place crushing government and socialists disguised as democrats currently consider friendly territory. An interesting cultural dichotomy indeed.

Thanks for the info. And Btw, happy to live in MA where the government actually helps it's citizens with rebates, etc...instead of just lining the pockets of the already rich in places like Florida (where I used to live for 15 years). Proof: How stupid is it that MA has more solar rebate programs than Florida, the 'sunshine state'? Don't miss the crazy people nor the politicians not doing anything for the poor and hiding behind rhetoric. Please keep posting MA deals. Don't listen to trolls. Maybe their states will start offering rebates like MA and they'll shut up.

And us people who are still residents in the "GREAT" state of Florida bid you good life.
I'm envious of people like you living in a state like MA that has a state income tax of over 5%....compared to us lowly poor soles that still reside in Florida where the state tax is zero, nothing, nada !
On a $100,000 annual income that's $5,000 for those MA rebates.

Enjoy you life, rebates, and winters, we're glad you're gone...!

Uhhh. No.

All of us utility customers pay into the Mass Save program which then goes to make everyone more energy efficient.

Nice find, thanks! Picked up a dozen or so total. The 60W daylight look the best but I only got a couple of those 'cause I'm cheap! The soft whites are fine too, just a little more yellow. Very nice diffusion on these bulbs, not directional at all like most of the LED's in my house. I was able to replace the last of my compact florescents.

It's 6.25% here and don't listen to that other guy... MA is annoyingly and blindly liberal as hell and there is nothing great about living here as far as great government provided benefits if you actually have a degree and work hard at a skilled job.

Things like this are there because it helps reduce load on utility companies. Utilities are regulated so it's not in their best interest to sell infinite amounts of their product if they can't keep up with the drmand. The electric companies can't afford to upgrade all of their infrastructure quickly either so they try to encourage efficient use of electricity by partially subsidizing things like this.

One way or another you pay. There is no free ride and every state needs cash to operate. How about your property taxes and sales tax?

I'm glad I'm gone too and not that I expect much in response...but you can wave all you want...though good luck waving through the bullets, crowds, zika mosquitos, alligators, horrible summers, and when the whole state sinks below sea level in 20 years...of course, you are probably retired (20% of the pop is over 65! driving is hell)....and that no income tax money is basically a way to line the pockets of the old retirees who are rich (and to get them there with the home tax credit law) and not most of the lower income people (who don't make 100k, Florida is one of the lowest at around 45k/yr would be A LOT lower if you didn't count all the super rich or all the retirees in the median income figure). State income taxes are know to help the poor, no income taxes help the rich. Look it up. Plus, there's a reason every comedian makes fun of Florida: It's full of crazy people. And as for that other person saying MA is bad; obviously hasn't lived in states where there are no government benefits/energy incentives (most) and is just mad that instead like in the southern states, liberals are the majority up here...a plus in my book. MA is not perfect...but believe me Florida is far from a paradise. Waving back wavewavewave as I go to HD for super cheap LED bulbs...woot
