Is there a vid guide to set this up? I need a security camera badly but don't have a clue how to install wires.

Wow, really tempted right now since there's 5% CB via Discover, and I'm still in my first year doubling cash back.

Any comments on the brand or the ability to remotely access the videos? I know I've read a lot of people complain about the difficulty of doing that with other brands.

I'd love the ability to view night time so I could see if I actually am getting bears in the back yard.

Try this for hikavision/ezviz [youtube.com]

Only downside is you have to buy ezviz cameras for this proprietary system. One guy said in the review that he had a problem with the android mobile app while his wife's iphone was fine.
Hope this helps. I am interested in this system too.

That is for the software. The ethernet wires come ready to go. You just plug them in. Take a look at one of the pictures at the sam's club review. I like the square plastic electrical boxes. The guy's picture in the review shows a flatter electrical box to mount the camera on the outside. Good luck.

You can also use Visa Freedom for 5% as they've extended all wholesale clubs (Costco included) till end of 2016. The doubling cash back of the discover I believe started last year June, so yours may be over. You might want to call and check.

Wireless ones are better so you don't have to run cables

If anyone gets this, could you please comment on whether the cameras 1) can be used without the NVR just as IP cameras in a PoE hub, 2) have good enough resolution to show a license plate number or an identifiable face, and 3) can be viewed remotely individually? Thanks!

Not if you don't have an outlet nearby to plug them in. I'd rather run an CAT cable over to where I want to mount the camera than to have to hire an electrician to install additional outlets. The main draw back is the 100ft wire, but you can use longer ones according to reviews.
