I've been looking for a 144hz monitor, but I didn't realize they came so cheap (in price). What's the difference in quality between the Acer one and the usual ones at ~$250-300+?

Not sure if its the same panel as the asus and benq, but:
It looks like it has a shitty stand. The benQ stand is slick; freefloating and perfect.
Less features: black equalizer, blur reducement, profiles. Some consider them gimmicks. I only use black equalizer a little bit when I play CSGO. I wouldn't miss it.
Its an acer.

Is it worth the few hundred dollar difference, though? I need a monitor that can tilt downwards, though. This doesn't seem capable of shifting much.

You could buy a stand for it. This is the case with most cheap monitors, but would come out cheaper anyway.

I have this model, but wouldn't really recommend it unless you really needed the extra money.

I have the Acer and I really like it. I use the light boost hack to do 120hz with strobe, it really improved the motion blur in bf4. The colors needed some adjustment but for the price you can't beat this screen (even for $250 I'd say it's a good screen)
