Really dumping stock before the 1070 hits at $380 I guess.

Looks like Newegg is dumping their 980 ti stock before the 1070s and 1080s come out in full force.

Yeah. What a huge drop. But still slightly above what is likely to be the real value of this card once stock is plenty for the 1070. This could happen depending on the aftermarket cooling versions and how far the 1070s can be overclocked.

From the first wave of reviews, the 10 series doesn't look like it can be overclocked as well as the previous generation. An extra 6/8 pin PCIe slot does not increase the amount of extra voltage the card can be used in overclocking. This applies to all the 1070 and 1080 custom/reference cards. A workaround is being looked into

NVIDIA has stocks. They are just putting them oh hold due to the obligations with their OEM partners until these old gen card depleted.

As someone that won't over clock at all, would the 1070 be a good fit for me? What's a good price I should expect to pay for the 1070 in, say, 2 weeks?

This. They need to get the price down lower if they want to clear inventory. Otherwise I'll just wait a couple more weeks and the 1070's should be in stock.

This is really sad for 1080 ti owners. It really was an amazing card for the past year of ownership. The dilemma is, sell the card now and wait another month to purchase a 1080, or use the card for the next year and sell for the 1080 ti if/when it is released

I'm so glad I was able to sell my Strix GTX 980 2 weeks before Pascal was released. I got $350 on eBay...
