Official HEB coupon policy, from their website:

H-E-B Coupon Policy
At H-E-B, we know how important it is for you to maximize every dollar you spend with us. Coupons are a big part of that, so below we have outlined our guidelines for your convenience.

H-E-B accepts the following types of coupons:

•Manufacturer issued coupons obtained from printed publications (newspaper, FSI, magazines, etc)
•H-E-B Issued coupons
•Manufacturer-sponsored coupons (Type M coupon; has an 'M' in bottom left corner)
•Store-sponsored coupons (Type S Coupon; has an 'S' in the bottom left corner)
•Big Savings coupons (Type B coupons; has a 'B' in the bottom left corner)
•The above mentioned H-E-B issued coupons are typically
•Available at store level and typically yellow in color
•Generated by a coupon printer at the register and provided with customer receipt
•Distributed via direct mail to customer households or other printed publications
•Printable coupons with a bar code (i.e. Online or Internet coupons)

Please consider the following guidelines and limitations:

•Coupons can only be redeemed for items, brands, and sizes as specified by the requirements of the coupon.
•Only one manufacturer coupon per item is permitted.
•Combining a manufacturer issued coupon with an H-E-B issued manufacturer coupon (Type M) on the same item is not permitted
•H-E-B will combine store sponsored yellow coupons with manufacturer coupons for the same product
•One (1) manufacturer issued coupon and one (1) H-E-B issued Store-sponsored (Type S)
•One (1) manufacturer issued coupon and one (1) H-E-B issued Big Savings coupon (Type B)
•H-E-B does not double or triple coupons.
•H-E-B cannot give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item.
•Coupons must be presented to the cashier at time of purchase.
•Coupons cannot be redeemed for cash.
•The following coupons cannot be accepted:
•Expired coupons
•Competitor coupons
•Coupons without a barcode
•H-E-B accepts valid online and other printable coupons as follows:
•Online and other Printable coupons should be legible and have a bar code.
•Buy-one-get-one-free coupons (BOGOs) are accepted. (i.e. Buy X, Get X Free)
•"Free product" printable coupons are not accepted (i.e. Get X Free)
•Printable Coupons will not be accepted if they appear copied or are altered in any way. They should be printed directly from the website or email in which they were offered.
•Printable Coupons have unique serial numbers and follow an industry standard format; they are non-transferable, and should not be copied, scanned, sold, traded, or otherwise distributed.
•H-E-B reserves the right to refuse any coupon or limit quantities.

Important Information on how to Maximize your Savings at HEB!!!

Quote :
When HEB is having a Buy xx Get yy FREE, you may use a Coupon on the Item xx (the one you have to purchase in order to get the other Item(s) Free) but you CANNOT use a coupon on Item yy. HEB's yellow In-Store coupons are indeed Manufacturer Coupons, so when they scan the Yellow In-Store coupon to make one of your items free that coupon slot has already been taken and any other coupons you may try and use on the Free item will beep.

HEB's Policy on Internet Coupons thanks to easydoesit:

Here is the HEB coupon policy that my cousin received back from HEB:

Dear H-E-B Customer Relations:

Hello and thank you for contacting us at our H-E-B Web Site. We always appreciate hearing from our Friends and Customers.

Thank you for sharing your concerns regarding H-E-B accepting internet coupons. Our stores can accept internet coupons; however, they must have a clear bar code that scans for the correct amount, as this is how we determine that they are valid. There is a maximum dollar value of $10 and a limit of two of the same internet coupon. We do not accept free item internet coupons, to include buy one get one free offers, due to fraud in this area, and all internet coupons must scan to be accepted. This is not to say that all coupons found online are valid. Some times what a customer thinks is a coupon is nothing more than a statement from a supplier with a cost listed on it and this is not redeemable. Additionally, many coupons found online are for a specific participating retailer. These coupons would not be redeemable at H-E-B.

H-E-B is proud to serve you as our Customer and we will look forward to all future opportunities we may have to serve you. We genuinely value your comments and your business. As we strive to deliver superior Customer Service, we encourage you to continue letting us know how we can serve you better.

Sincerely,
xxxxx

A few Qs that I noticed today that weren't mentioned in the ad:

$1.00 off HEB Bake Shop Split Top Honey Wheat Bread
-makes the bread $0.88
Expires on the 17th.
I know this Q comes around every few weeks, but I hadn't seen it in a while.

$3.00 off 3 Cascadian Farms Cereal, Granola Bars, or Fruit Spreads BQ
-I know that in the past it seems like I've seen a lot of peelies on Cascadian Farms cereals, so might be something to look out for. I didn't have time to price any of these items...stopped in real quick on the way to pick kids up from school.
Expires on the 24th.

Buy Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken
Get Free: Skinner Pasta AND Classico Alfredo or Pasta Sauce

Hope some of these Qs help you guys out.

Was able to get the Bounty Basic single rolls no problem.

I did the $4.00 off Healthy Meal deal today, but just noticed on my receipt that they didn't deduct the $4.00 Q. Do you think they will reimburse me if I take my receipt back to the store? It might be a couple days before I make it back there...will that make a difference?

Thanks

I have a question about the Olay Regenerist $3/1 MQ. The new bar code wouldn't scan at my store, and the cashier entered the number on the coupon but it wouldn't take it either... so when you guys said that your cashier entered the coupon manually, did they enter the amount $3, or the actual number on the coupon?

I'm not sure whether my cashier entered the number wrong and whether I should try to do this deal again since my store never takes any coupon that doesn't scan.

Thanks!

This is one of those times when you need a experienced cashier - the one that's always there. None of the coupons from that particular insert are scanning - not sure if it's P&G's fault...or HEB's fault as many posters on here seem to think. No matter. Your expereinced cashiers should have run into this already. Yesterday, my cashier didn't even bother trying to scan it - she recognized the coupon and said...yep this is one of the ones that isn't scanning so I have to manuallly enter it!

HTH!

Thanks & repped to all of you who replied! This store that I went to never takes anything that doesn't scan (which means all the ones with the new bar code Frown ). So I may have to try my luck at another store.

I have talked to the corprate office about this a few times in the past couple of months. HEB corprate said they have/had been actively working on the system update for some time now. This week, has been excellent here because they started "beta" testing some registers at both my local stores. They said that they are supposed to fully come online in a few weeks. So it is indeed the computer sytem at HEB and they are indeed working on it...but I know that they still have a little way to go before all HEBs are online Smilie

Oh, and about the store not taking anything that doesn't scan, shame on them. Call corprate and explain to them (NOT the specific ophar nature of cousreWink) that your store is being fussyabout the new bar codes in general Wink and they will put in a call to the DM to reeducate the store to the correct acceptance of insert coupons that do not scan. I have done this a few times and it really works. I never care to leave my info, don't need to don't want to. HTH
