Official HEB coupon policy, from their website:

H-E-B Coupon Policy
At H-E-B, we know how important it is for you to maximize every dollar you spend with us. Coupons are a big part of that, so below we have outlined our guidelines for your convenience.

H-E-B accepts the following types of coupons:

•Manufacturer issued coupons obtained from printed publications (newspaper, FSI, magazines, etc)
•H-E-B Issued coupons
•Manufacturer-sponsored coupons (Type M coupon; has an 'M' in bottom left corner)
•Store-sponsored coupons (Type S Coupon; has an 'S' in the bottom left corner)
•Big Savings coupons (Type B coupons; has a 'B' in the bottom left corner)
•The above mentioned H-E-B issued coupons are typically
•Available at store level and typically yellow in color
•Generated by a coupon printer at the register and provided with customer receipt
•Distributed via direct mail to customer households or other printed publications
•Printable coupons with a bar code (i.e. Online or Internet coupons)

Please consider the following guidelines and limitations:

•Coupons can only be redeemed for items, brands, and sizes as specified by the requirements of the coupon.
•Only one manufacturer coupon per item is permitted.
•Combining a manufacturer issued coupon with an H-E-B issued manufacturer coupon (Type M) on the same item is not permitted
•H-E-B will combine store sponsored yellow coupons with manufacturer coupons for the same product
•One (1) manufacturer issued coupon and one (1) H-E-B issued Store-sponsored (Type S)
•One (1) manufacturer issued coupon and one (1) H-E-B issued Big Savings coupon (Type B)
•H-E-B does not double or triple coupons.
•H-E-B cannot give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item.
•Coupons must be presented to the cashier at time of purchase.
•Coupons cannot be redeemed for cash.
•The following coupons cannot be accepted:
•Expired coupons
•Competitor coupons
•Coupons without a barcode
•H-E-B accepts valid online and other printable coupons as follows:

•H-E-B reserves the right to refuse any coupon or limit quantities.

OFFICIAL HEB COUPON RULES!!! [heb.com]

Important Information on how to Maximize your Savings at HEB!!!

Quote :
When HEB is having a Buy xx Get yy FREE, you may use a Coupon on the Item xx (the one you have to purchase in order to get the other Item(s) Free) but you CANNOT use a coupon on Item yy. HEB's yellow In-Store coupons are indeed Manufacturer Coupons, so when they scan the Yellow In-Store coupon to make one of your items free that coupon slot has already been taken and any other coupons you may try and use on the Free item will beep.

HEB's Policy on Internet Coupons thanks to easydoesit:

Here is the HEB coupon policy that my cousin received back from HEB:

Dear H-E-B Customer Relations:

Hello and thank you for contacting us at our H-E-B Web Site. We always appreciate hearing from our Friends and Customers.

Thank you for sharing your concerns regarding H-E-B accepting internet coupons. Our stores can accept internet coupons; however, they must have a clear bar code that scans for the correct amount, as this is how we determine that they are valid. There is a maximum dollar value of $10 and a limit of two of the same internet coupon. We do not accept free item internet coupons, to include buy one get one free offers, due to fraud in this area, and all internet coupons must scan to be accepted. This is not to say that all coupons found online are valid. Some times what a customer thinks is a coupon is nothing more than a statement from a supplier with a cost listed on it and this is not redeemable. Additionally, many coupons found online are for a specific participating retailer. These coupons would not be redeemable at H-E-B.

H-E-B is proud to serve you as our Customer and we will look forward to all future opportunities we may have to serve you. We genuinely value your comments and your business. As we strive to deliver superior Customer Service, we encourage you to continue letting us know how we can serve you better.

Sincerely,
xxxxx

I found 2 soups just now and they YQ scanend fine.

HOWEVER, the pizza YQ beeped at the same store that it sailed thru 2 days ago. So my cashier says I was supposed to buy the big pizza. I show her the YQ says 17oz and my 4pk says 17oz. So she pushes it thru - but then goes to check on the aisle and comes back to say I didnt buy Mama Rosas - I bought Mama Minis. I show her where it says Mama Rosas at the top and asked her if the YQ was hanging directly in front of the minis as well as the large ones. She says YES but that would be $0.50 final and you know thats not right. You are supposed ot buy the big one. OK - so HEB should say 18-54 oz on the YQ or excludes Mini's -- and she says YES, for customers that take advantage of our errors. I was LIVID but unfortunately did not have time to wait for a Manager. I so want to call in the am but at the same time do not want to raise any red flags since this store is 1 mile from my house. UGHHHH.

PS - She didnt catch the soup was free.......

PSS -- Meyers sausage was on taste table with $1YQ. Cooker pointed out the 16oz U-shaped link was cheaper than the pack of 5 short links and with YQ came out to $2ish/lb. Cooking Gumbo so bought 2 of the Garlic kind (YUMMY). Comes out cheaper than Eckrich and taste sooo much better. The YQ doesnt state size on it or links, etc.

Me too. I'm headed there now to get more. Will report back.

I'm back. That store didn't even carry the 4pk. That's the 2nd store I've found that hasn't. Did find more soup though.

Found some of the free soup at one store. It was a huge hassle. I bought only 3 packages of soup (which was my mistake). So, since the transaction was $0, I guess, it needed a manager override. The manager came over and did the override, and pretty aggressively argued with me. First she said I used the wrong coupon, and the computer was wrong for allowing it. I asked how it is wrong? After intently studying the coupon, she said the soup I bought was not "ready made". So I asked how is it not ready made? what do you need to do besides heat it? sounds ready made to me. She then said well, the price is wrong, they should not be $1. So I told her they were on sale because they were short dated. She said that there was no way they were short dated, I was wrong. Then I told her everything on the shelf was good for about 2 years except the soup that was on sale, which was only good for thee months. I ask isn't that kind of short? She said no, I was wrong. I ask again, how is three months not short compared to two years? She just said I was wrong again and walked away.
What a hassle. But it was the only store I could find it. I hate ignorant managers that get mad when they see you get something for free. Mad

Aren't the yellow coupons one per purchase? Did you get 3x soup in the same transaction? I'm new to the YQs.

I've never seen where I could only use one like YQ at a time. I frequently use 2-10 of the same YQ with no issue. This YQ is good until Nov 6, I plan to grab some extra YQ's just in case they pull them, don't know how long the soup will be marked down to $1 though.

I never ever do a $0 transaction at HEB. Yes your coupon usage was right but now you've raised your profile. Next time, just buy an HEB gift card equal to or more than the amount in coupons (excluding "b" yq's) to avoid mngr override (and scrutiny). You will always have OOP at HEB later and can also use those GCs for gas too. Yeah it sucks but these aren't CVS cashiers who "get " how you really **can** get stuff for free.... sorry this was such a hassle Frown

The chicken noodle I found scanned $1.87, but .87 for a pkg of soup is still not bad.

They raised the price of the soup from 1 to 189 at my HEB.

The deal for 50c for 4 pack of pizzas is still going strong though.

We had 3 five year olds, a 3 year old, an 18 month old and the newborn. The 5 year olds just turned 6. We also have an older one but she is very much on her own now. Oh, and when the school year started we decided to go ahead with home schoolingEEK! Anyhow, I am working at getting back into couponing now that the baby is getting better with the colic. Sorry about the OT guys
