I have this monitor and it's okay, but I would spend more and get a better monitor. What I don't like is that it's thick, the bezels are huge, the aesthetics of the monitor is just plain ugly, my monitor is starting to flicker once in a while after a year, have to use a power adapter since it's not U.S. standards, and limited input plugs. Also I could only get the refresh rate to 90hz; anything higher was just unstable for me and I paid around $300. For $200 it's somewhat decent.

I'm not a gamer but would love more real estate to work with. It says APUs won't work, I can't imagine why. I have a 5800K APU, no discrete graphics. Am I able to use this monitor? I'm sure it can't do 4k resolutions because it's pretty old. I thought I'd be able to do 1440p.

If you have an APU, does your motherboard have dual-link DVI for video output? I have this monitor, and I don't see why you can't use an APU (unfortunately I can't confirm this either) so long as you have this requirement. If you don't have native DL-DVI, using adapters will absolutely not work.

1440p worked well with my 970 so the 1080 will be killer.

Just worried about the response rate. Isn't 6 rather high?

While a lower response time would be better, it won't be very noticeable until you get into fast-pace FPS. At least this monitor has a lower input lag compared to most monitor to make up for that.

I did a little more research and it has a DVI-D with a max res of 2560x1600. I should be good to go.

Do you enjoy the monitor? If you could spend $100 mopre would you bypass this one?
