2 things...

1) The curve is very subtle. You won't even remember it's there once you're 5 minutes into a movie.

2) The enhancement from HDR is very subtle. Like, even side by side you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference, let alone in your living room with one tv.

We all know that slickdeals is full of techno-geeks, so everybody's always like "the next gen is going to blow the current gen out of the water!", but this is rarely true, and certainly not in the case of HDR. Also, as far as the input lag for gaming, casual gamers won't even notice, and hardcore gamers will just use it as an excuse when they lose. My sister used to have the most horrible computer AND internet connection but still did very well playing Team Fortress and Counterstrike. That being said, if you're playing FPSs on Xbox or PlayStation, you ain't hardcore.

Bottom line, when an OLED tv hits your price-point, get it. It's a major upgrade to whatever you have.

Supposedly you can tell by the serial number on the box if it ends with UA or UB. Not sure how we can check for this deal.

Is that something that can be fixed? I've heard response time isn't great for gaming hence why i haven't chosen this model yet.
