How is this compared to the current LeFun cam deal? Looking to use as a baby monitor.

Isn't two versions old. There was the Dropcam Pro and now the Nest Cam, which is the one that is available for $150..

If you do not get the subscription with the new nest cam, does it not even save a day worth of video? Are there any workarounds to make it save somewhere without subscription?

That's a good question. I have one and confirm yes with no subscription, you can still view back the current day. Originally I kinda thought it would only be real time only. I have also paid the $10 for one month when I wanted the longer recording history. I haven't tried but I think there subscription needs to be enabled first before you get historical recordings.

I went with the Fosbaby by Foscam, the first generation is $60 from their online website and the second generation is like $110. It has some extra features, most you wouldn't use except for the temperature sensor. But I could set how the camera may look a little silly for personal use.

Oh, this must be new? I specifically sold my Dropcam because I was tired of paying a subscription and having no recording history whatsoever for the free tier. I may have to revisit this now
