Searched for Xbox Elite deals and didn't see this posted yet - though it might be included in a larger thread. Delete this one if I missed it somewhere.

Is it worth the extra money for the elite?

If you want the elite controller, then yes. It still retails for $150 by itself which makes this a solid deal. With the slim coming out in August, this may drop further in price..

I used regular Xbox ones and now own a elite Xbox one. Speed of changing apps inside is relatively quicker (30-50% quicker compared to old Xbox one IMO )

I play call of duty. Elite controller is a must if you want to dominate the game along with some skill ( jump/drop and shoot at the same time ).

I'm a PS4 Gamer. One day I was walking by a Microsoft store and saw the controller, picked it up played with it a bit. The very next day I bought an XBOX one elite!
The controller is amazing, with the only thing against it being that it does not have the PS4 center touch pad style button!

Now as far as performance I play Rocket League quite a bit so I got it for both systems. I can report that in 2v2 it plays amazing on xbox better then PS4, but 3v3 PS4 runs smoother while I found that xbox drops frames and almost makes the game unplayable, could be the graphics chip but most likely it's the connection, ether one is unacceptable!

I like the XBOX allot, but overall PS4 wipes the floor with it especially with all the announced exclusives coming out for it. Look up PS4 E3 2016 in youtube for more info!

My suggestion get the Elite and grab a PS4 too!

isnt this a better deal? http://slickdeals.net/f/8846815-xbox-one-1tb-spring-bundle-299-w-free-shipping-extra-game-and-extra-... extra controller and more games?
It depends on what you want. The Elite offers a hybrid hard drive (SSD/HDD in order to improve speed) and the $150 Elite controller. If neither of these are important to you, then getting a regular Xbox One bundle with multiple games and an extra controller is the better deal.

Not if you want the elite controller which retails for 150. Also the harddrive in the elite console is a hybrid SSD/HDD vs a HDD.

Quantity vs Quality there. Elite vs Regular Xbox. Different controller and different drive.

I don't know how much further they'll drop it considering it comes with the $150 controller and 1tb hybrid drive. $299 might be the lowest, considering the One S will come in at $299 with the 500gb standard drive and regular controller.

The elite does not have an ssd. it has a hybrid sshd.

Good deal, but I'll probably wait and get either the S or PS4.5

Elite has a 1TB 5400 RPM drive + 8gb cache SSD built into the drive. Basically, youll see faster boot times and thats exactly what they advertise.

I wouldn't expect any form of speed boost in any game since the games will be far bigger than the cache.
