nice, but you can get a 7440 latitude for this price if you dont mind lightly used (no warranty) and it should last a lot longer than any inspiron

i would have bought it but i am just torn on getting the e6440 or the e7440

the 6440 is thicker, like a traditional laptop... but the cpu is considerably faster since it is not a U version like the e7440. the 7440 is plenty fast now, but a few years from now the e6440 will still be going strong and the 7440 will feel a little slow.

but the 7440 is nice and thin, and would be a lot easier to carry around. but the 6440 has an optical bay, meaning it can hold 2 ssd's

i think what i really want is a 6440 for home and a 2-in-1 laptop for portable use. but, then... ill have to dink around with two different pc's and its just easier to keep everything on one. the 7440 probably is the best bang for buck right now. and i don't care about touch screen... i would never use it.
