What idiot downvoted this?

Even if you have to pay the 10% non-member surcharge, outside of the rare Target clearance this is by far the lowest price the Pebble Time Steel has been.

Also you can use discover to get additional cash back! This is a great deal, I would totally get it if I didn't already have the time

eh. PTS screen is so bad, it's way too dim and hard to see.

I bought it from Groupon and returned it, my og was better.

I think my next pebble will be pebble 2. color screen is unnecessary, give me a high contrast, highly readable b/w screen anyday

Nah, the P2 is way overpriced for very little changes. The P2 is not even color and has the same hardware as the Time except for the HR monitor which most people don't care about. They will all get the same OS update this fall.

A few people may have cleared them out but it would be pretty foolish to do so. I have a few from the Target clearance I got for $75 and they're currently selling very slowly at $165-$170. There isn't a whole lot of profit to be made after shipping, tax and commissions at $100+.

Agreed. That's the reason for the TD. Individuals who may want to purchase this for family or friends have no shot at deals like this even though they are already members of Sam's club and should have the first access to deal. #FirstWorldProblems

Wait, what? This was TD right after it was posted and still in stock. That's what I was commenting on.

Furthermore, clearance deals are always limited to short supply and first come first served. This was very likely a closeout. With the that logic members or highly valued customers of a particular store should always be notified of low-inventory deals first, you'd practically have to downvote every other thread on SD.

I disagree. I've been using the PTS for 6 months now and I can see the screen just fine. In fact, I was given the Apple watch for Christmas and returned it to get the PTS just because its features were more in line with my needs . . .

Specifically, the watch face is always on (I hated having to do the look at your watch motion with the Apple watch). Also, it is easier to get to my most used apps on the PTS.

I"m well aware of the benefits of the always on screen. But the readability of the screen of the original Pebble is far better than PTS or PT. Hopefully the new one will be a lot better but I'll take readability over color any day.
