Add with activation or upgrade to title. Also how is this considered prepaid when they are forcing you to activate it right away?

HTC has some of the worst low-end phones. I believe this one doesn't even have auto-focus on the camera.

currently using this phone and it is terrible, no autofocus, touch screen isn't well calibrated (try for an "a" get a "p"), but if you do get one and put it in your pocket, make sure it is top down and screen facing out, or you will be getting call backs from 911 emergency

Would have made a half-decent kitchen timer if it was actually $10.

Good luck getting them to install if you reset or update. McDonalds & Ibotta were problem apps for me after reflashing my HTC Desire 510.

Reset=reset to factory default. Update=flash factory firmware to it to get the latest security updates.
Mine were rooted to have free wifi hotspot enabled. This resulted in a not thought about failure to over the air update. Of course they wanted to do a continual every 4 hrs update msg no matter HOW you try to get rid of that update msg...
I'm torn whether the new 5.0 Lollipop/Marshmallow is any better, seems to add lag when switching apps is my personal view, haven't seen any touted battery savings.
I'm not in full agreement with HTC having stopped updating these phones either.

Is this because you rooted the phone? That why you can't get over the air update?
I thought you said something about most apps won't work on Android 4.4
