Seriously? I remember bought these in bulk when they went for 99 cents. $3.99 is definitely not cheap.

Do they still come pre-activated?.

In that case they'll be useless for port and you'd be better off buying a truly "blank" one from Best Buy.

It was .99 and it was free back then.

But you can go to a T-mobile store and ask nicely and they give you one.

They're clamping down on giving out free ones in store because of 'limited stock'. Plus you'll likely still have to pay activation fees, etc. You could always get one online for free and have it shipped (took about 2-3 days to get to my place after ordering), and was activated automatically on arrival.

Lack of stock. That's a good one. World wide shortage on Sim cards...ok skip Smilie

If you by a new phone from T-mobile, a free SIM card is always included in the box. Do not buy it.

Rather odd that a retail outlet for a phone company that runs on a GSM network would be short on sim cards in their store Big Grin

I get that its not a great deal like the 99cents one.

I wanted a prepaid phone for moving my Landline number to Google Voice and was ready to pay 20$ for regular t-mobile prepaid.

Worked for me. If anyone is similar boat this is a decent deal otherwise can wait for 99 cents.

Apart from ringcentral and freedompop, what is a good monthly prepaid service if all I need is 100 mins, few text and 2gb for a family member who barely uses their cell phone?

I was thinking of getting H20 Wireless...

There is a deal right now where you can order a sim card for free with a 10/month cost which is credited to your account if you have a phone line, so it is free. You get 200Mb of data a month with this. If you don't have a phone line you can buy the sim for $4 on a prepaid plan so there is no monthly cost.

In Stock. Expected to ship 06/24 - 06/27.

I don't see how this is free anywhere? It's $4 with a coupon code "simdeal"
