If you guys want OTA DVR then you guys need to vote if you haven't already and add comment so that they will bring it

This is a rebadged HVR-955Q for anyone interested in the specs [hauppauge.com].

It does work on Raspberry Pi with OpenElec. To do hardware MPG2 decoding you'll need to buy the license for 2.40GBP.

Just enable TV in options and setup one of the clients and backend.

Glad I waited. This thing is useless now.
Great deal. I only wish they did not place the TV dvr feature "on hold."

Demand for this item probably cratered after they decided not to bring DVR functionality to the XB1 for the time being.

Cheap because they dropped DVR from their plans.

This would have sold quite well if they didn't drop their plans for OTA DVR...

Apologies in advance for my ignorance...but does the DVR function not exist at all, or is it only functional on the now "older" xbox one?

Does not exist at all. Supposedly it was in internal employee testing, but during an interview they announced that they were going to focus on more in demand features. Sad part is the reason people weren't requesting it is because it was announced already so it was thought to be locked in.

It technically is "on hold" so it may come out eventually, but I'm not holding my breath.

Why not just get a standalone TV tuner box with DVR function for less?? Can move it around anywhere too.

This item is useless if you were only interested in using OTA with a DVR but if you'd like to receive OTA on your Xbox One (without DVR) then this is a deal.

this does allow up to 30 minutes of pause and gives you a guide. dvr would seal the deal, but for 30 it isn't entirely useless. you should also be able to connect to a computer if that floats your boat.

The dvr function is one of the reasons I bought a Xbox one. I was hoping for a great all in one entertainment center. DVR would have been the last piece. Makes me pretty upset they put it on "hold."
