Does anyone know how I can get these to work with the echo? It says its compatible but I can't figure out how to get the echo to recognize it.

Amazon has the wifi switches at $31 a piece.E even though they have a 3.4 out of 5 the switches have some pretty crappy reviews esp dealing with Echo compatibility

this uses ifttt to be able to be used with echo. not as straight forward as wemo where echo detect it directly, but wemo switch is generally more pricey than others.

it uses ifttt. there is recipe for this switch, but there is lag between saying "Alexa trigger switch" to the switch being on. I like wemo better, it is directly connected to echo and there is less lag. wemo is more expensive generally.

More expensive generally? They are waaaaaaay more expensive. A wemo switch is a steal at $30 and these switches are $15 a piece. The price comparison isn't even close, but if you have to set up ifttt and there is significant lag then you might as well just pay the extra and just have something reliable. I was thinking about getting this pack, but I will probably just invest in a few more wemo switches.

You don't have to set up ifttt. You add a skill to Alexa for Mydlink. Then you have to tell Alexa to ask Mydlink to turn on the xxxxx.

but in Wemo all you have to say to echo is: "Alexa turn off light", instead of alexa ask mydlink to turn off light.

Did you already set this up to your home network and update firmware, then Enable mydink home under skills, finally go into the Alexa app under Smart home run discovery mode?
