There's UV/X/Gamma rays in sunlight, chlorine in public water, hormone analogs and pthalates in plastic food and beverage containers, nitrites/nitrates/antibiotics etc in foods, hordes of volatile organics in inner city air from cars/industry, and the list goes on and on.

Life is too short to worry about every little thing...heck the stress of feeling you can't do and eat what you enjoy could be far more damaging than a few cartons of fries, donuts, or cans of soda ever would be.

As long as you moderate yourself (both in frequency and amount) you're fine...even too much water can hurt/kill you.

I applaud your efforts, but you just can't talk to those people.

Yeah, they are pretty bull headed. Perhaps I continue to try just for the peace of mind in knowing that I tried. I like to think I'm fairly objective and pragmatic, and I agree a diet of such food isn't healthy, but in EVERY darn thread the liberal food police come out in force with underhanded derisive babble.

I don't want to live to 100 on tofu burgers, kale chips, and shots of wheat grass.

For all the non elitist food nazis here, don't let the critics friggin' guilt and/or scare you off. Every now and then go and have a few fries, maybe a coke, and a smile Smilie

Not exactly what I meant by changing the thread title, but shrug.

You guys sound just like the so-called health zealots that you don't care for.

Eat what you like, be it soy products or not and don't bother the other guy with your way of life. If you can live with yourself and have all of the proven facts of your health consequences over time, then so be it.

I'm sure that there are proper debate forums for this type of thing, however I'm doubting that this is it.
