First time posting, so please bare with me. I was on Walmart.com looking for jack stands and saw these for 5.91 for a pair plus tax. I do not know if your results will vary but it is 5.91 in Houston, Texas stores.

Second cheapest I forund were at Amazon and they have them for 21.56 shipped.

Model/Part # T4002W-2

Check your ground clearance for your vehicle before buying these, high ground clearance vehicles such as jeeps and trucks might have issues, the max range on these is 16.3 inches.

----------
ONE jack stand is all they give you. Not two.

Everyone has reported the same. Debate the clerk or manager if you want.
All are BLACK and labeled Black Jack. Not the Big Red model. Don't know if there is any difference? Height? Features? Design?

Reg price in store is $8.44 each jack

Most Walmart deals have to be bought online and store pickup for a posted discount price. Store clerk verified this happens for 99% of deal prices found online. You won't get a walmart.com discount deal if you just walk in the store.
---------

Question then: Is this bait and switch? Because on the listing it clearly states and has image of 2 jack stands and not 1.

In title it states ... Torin Big Red 2 Ton Jack Stands
(which the word urlhasbeenblocked)

and under About this item it states ...
2 heavy-duty steel jack stands

And yes, we can return them. But why should we waste our time if it's an error on their part. Walmart should honor their listing as stated and not try to pull this "bait and switch".

DAY-UHM...that's a heavy car. Sounds more like a truck, or maybe like an old caddy with a 7L iron block engine or something, haha.

Backup. NEVER use only one source of support when working on (and especially underneath) a vehicle/heavy equipment. When I change oil I use a set of ramps and a set of jack stands/bricks/wood blocks...while for other repairs I use the jack (leave it jacked up), jack stands, and a set of bricks/wood blocks. To be fully honest I always buy MUCH stronger stands than are required to be extra safe.

Engineers under rate yet overbuild on purpose to leave a wide safety margin, and it's a wise practice consumers should assimilate for such projects as car repair. My car weighs around 3500lbs, and I use ramps rated around 2500lbs each (5000 total), and the jack stands at 12000lbs each (24000lbs total).

* When the mass begins moving (such as when a support fails or weight shifts) it carries/builds momentum, and when it comes into contact with a very rigid secondary support the time it has to slow is extremely small, meaning a huge acceleration and thus force is exerted on it (potentially much greater than the load's static weight depending on the nature of the primary support failure/movement/etc), so it's critical to ensure your secondary supports are MAGNITUDES stronger than the static weight you are trying to support.

Over prepare, be careful, and be safe folks Smilie

Neither would I. He's lucky to have you as an uncle/aunt.
I'll sell you a pair for $50 if that will make you feel better.

Because it's the middle of the night and you're delirious? That might be the only explanation for me. I mean, I already own a set of these and I might have used them all of twice in 5 years. Oh well, can't go wrong at this price.

Holy crap. This is cheap. Got 2 for personal use. Needed a set. So are these bad enough where I'll die when I lift the car with with as the only supports?

The only reason I can think of to buy this would be to do your own oil change

These + wood blocks + wheel chock = you should be okay for a sedan. Wish they used pins instead of this jack type crap.

since these are only 2 ton total rated, what are people using these for? My car is 3.5+ tons... can't use these...
