Ah.... why not just use a tablet. Like the $40 Memo at Walmart. IMO, the era of things like this and picture frames has come and gone.

Tried to do this months ago...couldn't find an app that had a display that looked good.

Regardless of all that, this is no deal...tons around this price or less

There are so many clock apps and skins, I find it hard to believe that one of them wouldn't meet your tastes. It's not like this one is particularly pretty. Worse case, write your own. A clock app is easy as is java.

This is generally used by people with memory issues or people who have difficulty understanding abbreviations, a tablet with a clock app would most likely be too complicated.

How would it be any more complicated than this device? You can set a clock to be the screensaver for a tablet. So it's on all the time.
