Can anyone vouch for this motherboard? I'm doing an Intel i7-6600K build and I want a Z170 motherboard for over clocking with high reviews.

This motherboard has 4 eggs on Newegg and 3.8 out of 5 stars on Amazon, which is okay, with both sites having eight customers reviewing each product at the time of the writing.

The main thing that bothers me is that the motherboard supports 2-way SLI, and I'm planning on never having a dual-graphics card setup in my system. I don't like paying for something I'll never use. So, I'll try to find a microATX or larger motherboard that either only supports one graphics card or AMD 2-way Crossfire only, since I don't think I'll ever use Nvidia SLI. I'll probably never use an AMD graphics card either, since this is my first build and I've heard good things about Nvidia. I don't think I'll be able to find any motherboards that don't support AMD cards and only support Nvidia cards.

For what it's worth, the reviews on Amazon should be much higher than 3.8 out of 5 stars. I read the two one-star reviews for the product there, and they really don't criticize anything about the product, just the packaging or reseller. If you're planning on a maximum 2-graphics card setup this seems like it should be a good motherboard, but since I'm really picky and want a motherboard that supports only and exactly one Nvidia graphics card, I think I'll wait a bit before purchasing a board.

6 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), gray
1 x SATA Express port, Compatible with 2 x SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports

Does this mean I can plug in 8 SATA 6.0 drives or no?

I've always used Asus, has always been the #1 m/b maker since the first time I've ever made one. Absolutely anything with more than one PCI-E slot will usually take SLI or Crossfire, so don't sweat about that. Personally, I wish this had more USB slots, but for under 100 bucks? Great for a first build. This will take in 8 SATA drives ( SATA Express can split into two SATA 6.0 )

6 total = (2 can be used as single SATAExpress + 4 SATA)
