AMEX Costco Extended Warranty is still valid.

Call 1-800-225-3750 to file a claim. They will need your AMEX card number.

Just got off the phone with AMEX extended warranty CSR. AMEX is still honoring the extended warranty for items purchased with AMEX Costco card. Instead of credit to account, they will send out check if claim is approved.

I called today 6/20, first day the card expired. My macbook stopped working yesterday. Was worried for a while that AMEX would not honor their extended warranty.

Great! Thanks. Most of us would not have thought about this at all. As of last night AMEX is dead. But the benefits are not according to your post. This is a deal to be shared for sure. Better we keep the AMEX card / number handy just in case.

I've filed a claim last week, it was breeze. I know that we are talking about new claims starting from today.

This has already been covered on the Citi Costco forum and it's in the FAQ on Citi's website.

Thanks for this. I have already torn the card, but was able to snag a picture of it beforehand. Would they at any point ask for the physical card? Or would knowing the number/exp...etc be enough?

Can't see any reason they would need the physical card. Just knowing your account info should be sufficient since they should still have the records. Having a copy of the statement MAY be necessary.

If it's the standard amex warranty thing, it extends your warranty for another year or something if the item was entirely purchased on your amex.

I'm just sad we dont have the AmEx card anymore. Used the accident protection on a new purchace once and it was a pleasure talking to them. They made the process so simple

I am seriously contemplating gtetting a new AmEx card now given that we have a visa. I am just not too keen to get a new cc now. Just got the CSP few months back.

Yes they do.

But people don't know that MOST credit cards actually have the exact same extended warranty built into their cards. So you have it automatically. As long as you put the purchase on your card, you are covered.
