Text Wrap

ASG 15,044 933 June 20, 2016 at 09:57 AM
I feel like the past month the replies are not text wrapping properly on many posts. In the reply, letters are on both the end of the previous line and resume on the next line instead of all the letters of the word being shown on the following line.

Thanks for the bug report! This isn't something I've seen myself, but maybe we can track it down with a little more info. Do you have a link to a reply that's displaying poorly? Also, are you in Classic or Redesign view?

I have noticed this, but its not going on for a month--more likely last week. Seems to happen to people being quoted, and the quoted text.

Here's an example from quickly looking through the front page of Hot Deals. Don't know what view I'm in.

schooby directed me to repost this here-

some examples from yesterday. i use full site view (classic). best to go to the last page of the thread and view b/c if you look at single view posts it looks different but use my single view posts as reference as to the words that illustrate the problem.

list of single view posts-

scroll down to the bottom left corner of the page. just above *about slickdeals* you will see-

Redesign View - Mobile - Full Site - Basic HTML

the one that is bold is the view you are in. so i am in what is known as classic to everybody but called full site for some unknown reason. i don't know anybody who has ever called it that.

Let me know if you need to see #68 and #71. Its really a lot of work to upload pictures one by one with the antiquated system here.

i'm in FF, windows 10, classic view, widescreen laptop. sorry, i never did learn to do real screenshots b/c i got my ipad 3 yrs ago and it was so much simpler to do it on that and then on my smartphone. i would have used my smartphone to take pics but it's really torture b/c the slickdeal buttons are soooooooo tiny and i fatfinger everything when uploading pictures to sd. i only do it if i absolutely have to. i could post to ig and then just post the link here, that is my normal workaround to post deals if you need better resolution.

To do a screen cap on windows machine...
1) Control+Alt+Print Screen
2) then open graphics editing program (Paint)
3) Control+V to paste it into program
4) Save as the file type you want (jpeg) to location you want
5) upload to this site from said location

For those wondering about ipad:
Home key + top button on IPAD
you can then view the screen cap in your pictures.

Hope everyone has learned something today...

Do i already have paint? I do not have any of the MS programs that used to be bundled with the device so i use google docs and sheets instead of ms word and excel. That could have been why i didnt learn when cgrady also gave me the directions yrs ago.
