There were more reviews at BB. The reviews about the soundbar audio and TV not syncing up completely is what concerns me most.

I am personally thinking of going with a cheap 5.1 home theater system over soundbar systems like this.

Can anyone share some thoughts?

The soundbars I checked out at local best buys, Fry's sounded crappy. so.

Would like to add that BuyDig's eBay listing for this item is $149.99, which is actually preferable for me (and perhaps some other people) since I usually roll the readily available 10-20% off BB GCs into eBay GC, whereas there aren't really any opportunities for discounted BuyDig GCs to speak of. (Plus there's eBay Bucks, but that's not as big of a deal...and I won't get the two free HDMI cables, but we SDers have way too many of them anyway Stick Out Tongue)
Don't forget to use cashback sites either way, though.

I received this as a gift. I have had many sound systems, and after trying this one, I was pleasantly surprised. Sound is great and I haven't had any sound sync issues. I popped this on a 75" Samsung 4k and it's theater quality sound. I'd buy it again if given the option.

Thanks OP, I was looking for a deal on an LG soundbar for my home office, and this looks like it will work perfectly. I couldn't stand the thought of paying retail.

reviews seem decent. for the price, may be worth it. worst case, I can switch it to a bedroom if not loud enough for the living room.

Almost any 5.1 is going to sound better than a soundbar (I said almost, there may be some exceptions). i still own a 10 year old Sony HTIB i paid $300 that sounds great for movies and TV. i keep it in the extra room and now have a more expensive system in the living room. But my point is, if a 5.1 setup works in your room definitely go with it - even if it's a budget system

I bought a similar soundbar from Micro Center about 6 months ago and was pleasantly surprised. Had better sound than the comparable Samsung and Vizio, and has worked flawlessly since setting it up. Not sure what model mine was, since it doesn't seem to be on MC's website, but this model is very similar.

You can get a pretty decent 5.1 setup for under $600, and a great sounding one for around $1000 if you know where to look. You want to stay away from most of the home-theater-in-box setups. Both of those options will crush any soundbar.

reviews are hilarious. this thing should be recalled. apparently there is NO secure bluetooth connection. meaning anyone with a bluetooth device in your neighborhood can connect to it and play whatever they want to it in the middle of the night. what a piece of shit.
