Whitaker Guns is selling the Taurus PT-111 Millennium G2 9MM Polymer Sub Compact Semi-Automatic Handgun. Price is $184.99 + $13.99 shipping. They were previously out of stock, now they are back in stock.

I am not a fan of WG jacking the price up of one of their other hot selling firearms, but at least they didn't jack the price up of this one.

I'm not a gun owner but am preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse. In California my FFL dealer website stated I have to pay 35.00 short gun fee. I'm clueless and wish you could order guns like on Amazon but all this dam red tape leaves me clueless on how to purchase a gun the legit way....rant

Very slick deal if you like this gun. I wanted to very much but hate the loooooonnngggg trigger pull. Due to my old brain memory, I was concerned it had some malfunction 2nd time I went to the range with it (which had been a couple months since the first time with it).

Also I get sore trigger finger by the time I have fired one mag worth. Before someone wonders if I know how to fire a gun, yes I use the pad of my finger, not the groove between pads. I will have to keep this out of rotation for carry, and use only at home, or re-sell.

Next point of clarification: Yes I have the G2. Paid a few more bucks but not mad about the price. Got my rebate just fine. Think I paid $209 AR.

Meanwhile reps to OP for a great deal post on a gun.

Your local sheriff's office will have lots of information for you to apply for permits. Keep in mind California does have more restrictions than most states.

Zombie Apocalypse.... ease up on the movies and internet hype.

Amazon... hum well airsoft and pellet guns are available.

1. Taurus still offers the free year of NRA membership.
2. Someone from this shop replied to the post on slickguns and said they aren't gouging, but that their own cost changed and that it will go up again after this month is over.

well then no one will buy it from them. KYGunCo regularly has the Sport II between $518.34 - $559.34. shipping is FREE

why pay Whitaker Guns $550 for it and then another $14 for shipping? well it won't even be $550...it'll be even higher. let's just say $575 + $14 shipping or possibly $600 + $14 shipping. good luck to them i guess on their back to back price increases which came conveniently right after the Orlando shooting. price increases on inventory they already ordered, paid for / budgeted for, and were already in transit to their store. yeah ok....

I expect $200 to be basically the normal price for the G2 with the class action suit giving either $200 or a G2 to replace the old guns.

This is a good deal, I ordered this last week when they had their fathers day sale before it went out of stock. I said I would buy it if it hits under $200 shipped and then BAM,

Look forward to testing it see what the hype is all about when it arrives at my ffl.

EXTENDED MAG options: during my research I found out that couple of other brand handgun's mags fit into this one. For example the mag from walther ppq, sig P226, and canik tp9sa.

You can get 18rd canik tp9sa mags for $25 plus some shipping. Not gonna be a perfect fit but according to online sources it feeds and fires just fine. Also the canik tp9 is a pretty impressive gun itself, thinking about acquiring one (tp9sf, their new version).

Don't even bother, this handgun isn't on Commiefornia's "approved" handgun roster. You, like me, are SOL. Sorry.

Any recommendations on a 9mm that is somewhat easy to carry without being a compact model?

Got two of these last time. Nice weight distribution and appears well made. Have yet to fire, but the reviews are generally great, and this is dirt cheap for brand new. I contemplated buying two more.
